Terms of Service
1. Service Description
Colchester.Network is a subscription-based online community platform for Colchester-area small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) owners. The service provides a member directory, discussion spaces, an opportunity board, direct messaging, and related community features.
2. Account Terms & Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and operate or be employed by a business in the Colchester area to use this service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
3. Payment Terms
All plans include a 14-day free trial. Your payment card is collected at signup and will be charged on day 15 unless you cancel before then. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually). You may cancel at any time from your account settings; access continues until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
Members must adhere to our Community Guidelines. Prohibited activities include spam, unsolicited cold pitching, harassment, defamation, sharing illegal content, and any activity that disrupts the community experience. Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent removal.
5. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant Colchester.Network a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your content within the platform. You must not post content you do not have the right to share.
6. Limitation of Liability
Colchester.Network is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
7. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or our Community Guidelines. You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days before deletion.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
