Cookie Policy
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device to remember information about your visit. Some cookies are essential for a site to work; others are used for tracking, advertising, or analytics.
2. Cookies We Always Use
Two cookies, both strictly necessary under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), so neither needs your consent. One keeps you signed in. The other remembers the answer you gave on our cookie banner, so we do not ask you on every page.

The sign-in cookie is HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite=Lax.
3. Cookies We Set Only With Your Consent
We advertise on Facebook. To see whether those adverts bring people here, and whether those people go on to apply, we use the Meta pixel on our public pages (the home page, pricing, the application form and the like). It is never loaded on member pages, and it is never loaded anywhere until you press Accept on the cookie banner. If you press Reject, nothing below is set and nothing is sent to Meta.

What the pixel sends to Meta: the page you are on, your browser details and IP address, and the fact that an application was submitted. Never the contents of the application. We have turned off the pixel's automatic form-field matching, so the email address you type does not go to Meta.
What we still do not use:
- No analytics cookies (our page-view analytics are cookieless)
- No cookies of any kind from Meta on member pages
- No other advertising or cross-site tracking cookies
4. Local Storage
We may use your browser's local storage to remember small preferences such as your chosen theme. Local storage is not a cookie and is never sent to our servers.
5. Managing Cookies
You can change your answer to the cookie banner at any time. This button forgets your choice and asks again; press Reject and the pixel stops and its cookies are removed. The same control is in the footer of our public pages as “Cookie settings”.
You can also clear or block cookies through your browser settings. If you block the sign-in cookie, you will not be able to sign in to Colchester.Network.
6. Changes to This Policy
Until October 2026 this site set one cookie and no others. When we added the Meta pixel we did what this page had promised: updated it, and asked for your consent through the banner before setting anything. If we ever add more, we will do the same, and the banner will ask you again.
